our team
Connect the Dots was founded and registered as a charitable trust in 2014 in Auckland New Zealand, by artist educators Andrea Gaskin and Selina Anderson.
After Selina Anderson moved to the Netherlands in 2017, Andrea Gaskin has been working part time in the role of Director for Connect the Dots Charitable Trust alongside her teaching on the Make Moments programme.
Connect the Dots is governed by a board of trustees, with the day-to-day operations overseen by Andrea Gaskin. We have a team of passionate and experienced artist educators facilitating our Make Moments programmes, and artist tutors teaching our paid programmes at our Onehunga community art Studio. We are also very fortunate to have volunteers contributing in roles such as IT and Website design (Jaap Rigtering), baking for programmes (Jaap Rigtering, Helen Bell and Eimi Tamua), and volunteering to assist on Make Moments programmes (Sara Kendrick).
Connect the Dots Board of Trustees: Erin McVeigh, Sarah Ferens, and Eimi Tamua.
Their skills include older peoples health, the arts, volunteer management, and council. They are an amazing asset to Connect the Dots and guide our vision and mission into fruition.
